Abstract:
In connection with a massive expansion of Moscow commercial banks in the regions of Russia the problem of stability and development of regional banks has recently become even more urgent. The present article describes special features of regional banks, their advantages and disadvantages, criteria for assessing effectiveness of their activities and shows the ways for their development and increasing their reliability.
