Self-employment as an efficient resource of life sustenance of the population of modern Russia

Abstract:
In the recent decades, the employment problems have moved to a new level due to the periodical crises in the domestic economy. The article presents the existing tendencies on the modern labor market in Tver region. The content, positive sides and expenditures of informal sphere of economy have been identified. The author explains the state measures that can be taken to legalize self-employment of the population as for the introduction of special patents for self-employed persons also providing broad statistical data concerning the use of patent system on the territory of Tver region. Having analyzed and assessed the dynamics of changes of social-economic potential employable age persons, their motivation and preparedness for self-employment. The preventive measures for prevention of growth of part-time employment, unemployment reduction and rendering assistance to the employees of different enterprises have been proposed.
