Abstract:
Purpose: of this article is to study, systematize and summarize the most characteristic examples of foreign experience of motivation and incentives of labour activity. Materials and methods: in the process of research were used the methods of comparative and systemic analysis, synthesis, and study of current scientific literature, grouping and tabular data presentation, and other methods of scientific cognition. Results: in the article various systems of motivation of labor activity of modern world practice, including the approaches, widespread in the USA, Japan and the developed countries of Western Europe (Great Britain, Germany, France and Sweden) are considered. The general characteristics and main factors of each of the studied models are singled out, and also the most distinctive. Conclusions: the issues of motivation and incentives of labor activity in the world practice have always been given special close attention. The study of the main current trends of labor motivation systems in different countries made it possible to conclude that their most striking distinctive features are largely due to national peculiarities. Also, the models examined reveal a certain similarity, and sometimes also the borrowing of methods. This is mainly manifested in the issues of vocational training, qualification training and job promotion of staff, as well as opportunities for employees to participate in the profits of the organization. The accumulated global experience in managing staff motivation is very important for domestic organizations, however, its copying will be ineffective. Russian companies need to develop their own methods of motivation and incentives based on careful adaptation of foreign models to domestic economic realities and individual characteristics of a particular organization.
