Abstract:
Purpose: in the last decade of the XX and beginning of the XXI centuries. in the economic and social literature appeared a number of theories, whose authors are trying to comprehend the processes occurring in society and give a number of practical recommendations. Each of these theories examines the relationship of different trends in the context of the information and technological revolution that lead to the transformation of society. Because of the above, this article attempts to study the problems of economic thought aimed at justifying the current situation, as the basis, modeling the process of the formation of the international economy of the 21st century. The purpose of the work is to investigate the process of the emergence of new schools and directions of economic thought, to consider the characteristics of the concepts of postindustrialism. Materials and methods: in the article, in the methodological aspect, modern theories of market economy, development and regulation were used; methods of structural and functional analysis and systems approach, groupings, graphical and tabular methods, a system of economic laws and scientific assumptions. Results: in this article, the essence of the conceptual approaches of scientists to the postindustrial society is analyzed, the review of various points of view on the process of formation and functioning is given, the characteristics of the post-industrialism concepts of D. Bell, E. Toffler, M. Castells, P. Drucker, T. Stounier showing the specifics perception of the modern picture of the world in the conditions of the transformation of capitalism. Conclusions: modern times differ historically very high level of innovative activity - and this is a key characteristic of the new society, emphasized by post-industrialists.
