Abstract:
The article reflects the evolution of views of representatives of various scientific schools on the problem of economic growth, including through investment in human capital. The modern stage of development of the theory of economic growth is characterized from the position of the concept of sustainable development of society, the priority objectives of which are the reduction of poverty and the smoothing of social inequality. Based on the analysis of statistical data, the trends in the distribution of total cash income of the population of the Russian Federation are identified, the factors, scale and consequences of socio-economic differentiation are determined. The necessity of formation of a new model of economic growth, designed to solve the social problems of modern society.
