Abstract:
The article analyzes the effect of sanctions and counter-sanctions on the economy of the Western countries, mostly, of the European Union. Based on the analysis of the structure and the dynamics of the Western countries' foreign trade turnover, the damage is estimated that is made by sanction wars to the development of the global trade as a whole and the European countries in particular. The article will be interesting to the experts that study issues of the foreign economic activity.
