The success of transport experiment in Crimea: functioning of mountain trolley line

Abstract:
Based on the retrospective analysis of functioning of the mountain trolley line in Crimea, the authors study the peculiarities of conducting this transport experiment, characterize its role in the development of the region as a whole. The analysis results of the experiment having no equals in Europe and consisting in the construction of a mountain trolley line have enabled to draw a conclusion about the economic expediency of the line functioning and obtaining of positive social-economic effect for the economy of Crimea. The results of the conducted studies will be of interest for scholars studying the issues of the preconditions necessary for the transport infrastructure development in the region, as well as for the professionals working in the state, regional or municipal authorities (when planning the measures aimed at optimizing passenger flows in the periods of seasonal changes.
