Abstract:
In the context of large-scale urbanization processes, the problem of finding ways and means to optimize the system of transport services in cities and agglomerations in conditions of limited free urban space is on the agenda. At the same time, the lack of urban space is one of the key problems of modern cities, which makes it difficult to ensure comfortable and safe movement of vehicles. The authors of the article propose a new approach to the optimization of the system of transport services and transport infrastructure. The approach is based on the principles of planning and regional differentiation, taking into account the vector of development of a particular macro-region. The article will be of interest to specialists in urban planning, transport engineering, as well as researchers dealing with problems of regional development and sustainable urban development. The results and conclusions presented in the article can be used to develop strategies and programs for the development of cities and agglomerations in conditions of limited urban space.
