The impact of the knowledge intensity of industrial production on the share of gross value added in output (on the example of mechanical engineering)

Abstract:
One of the main indicators characterizing the activity parameters of economic sectors is gross value added.
Its value depends on both the volume of output and the structure of the output itself. The technological factor affects the ratio of gross value added and intermediate consumption. Thus, in the study, linear and power regression equations were obtained; and the presence of an average degree of correlation between the indicators of the knowledge intensity of the machine-building complex and the specific weight of its gross value added in output was established. At the same time, a significant influence of the level of knowledge intensity on the increase in specific gravity was determined; and the parameters of this dependence were calculated. A graphical representation of a variety of options for combining the amount of research and science costs and output, ensuring the achievement of the planned value of gross value added, was calculated and presented.
