Abstract:
The article presents a description of the key technological trends that are observed in global agriculture and the global agro-industrial complex. It is shown that Russian agriculture and the agro-industrial complex as a whole function and develop inefficiently and at a low technological level due to problems associated with financing investments in innovations and technologies. A brief description is given of two key groups of technologies that will determine the near future of agriculture and the agro-industrial complex. The Russian agro-industrial complex needs to make a rapid technological transition not only to increase its own efficiency, but also to ensure food security.
