Abstract:
The article examines indicators of competitiveness of countries and regions used by international organizations. The author reveals the pattern of how the economic structure of the Russian regions influences economic competitiveness. She suggests an indicator for assessing social and economic competitiveness of the territories. The results of a study on mechanisms of increasing the competitiveness of the federal districts are given.
