Abstract:
Purpose: the purpose of the publication is to substantiate the main aspects of the policy of import substitution as an element of state regulation of food security of Russia. Materials and methods: during the study, the main sources of initial data were the fundamental and applied works of domestic and foreign scientists in the field of agriculture. In this article, applied methods such as analysis and synthesis, systematization and comparison. Based on the obtained analytical data, key conclusions are formulated. Results: the strategic priorities of the state policy of improving the efficiency of the export of agricultural complex of Russia in the context of macroeconomic instability are defined. It has been established that innovative development is the basis for import substitution in the agro-industrial sector, and import substitution is one of the most important elements of the national industrial policy. Conclusions: it has been substantiated that in order to take full advantage of the favorable situation on the world market for agricultural products, it is necessary to unleash the potential of agriculture and agribusiness in the Russian Federation through a deep, long-term and balanced reform aimed at improving the competitiveness of agriculture and food territories. The results of the study can be applied in developing the strategy of import substitution in the agri-food sector of Russia.
