Abstract:
The article analyzes the degree of influence of the gender component on the formation of the quality of human capital. The influence on the formation of human capital of such indicators as the level of education of women and men, the share of employed in the economy of women and men, the proportion of their wages. According to the results of the analysis, a conclusion is made about the persisting gender gap in the level of education, the level of employment and the amount of earnings. The marked asymmetry in the quality of human capital testifies to the unequal access of women to economic resources in Russia today and to economic resources, the lack of an adequate gender policy consistent with the norms of international law.
