Improving the quality of methods for assessing investment climate in the region

Abstract:
Predominantly isolated study of such phenomena as investment climate, investment potential, investment risks outside the analysis of cause-effect relationships between them, limits the possibilities for improving assessment methods in their validity and reliability. The article reveals the correlation between the nature of investment climate and its components. We justify the possibility of determining investment attractiveness through groupings of all factors, without investment potential and investment risks. The authors suggest to determine the investment climate of the region and its attractiveness through complex ABC-matrix method, which allows not only to assess the investment climate of the region, but also to develop measures to reduce investment risks through their diversification on the basis of identification of the obstacles and limitations that characterize the investment climate at each hierarchical level.
