Abstract:
In the modern period of transition from the fifth to the sixth techno-economic paradigm not only the content of approaches to a sustainable development and economic safety changes, but also the role of efficient management of innovative activities in the context of securing the economic safety. The analysis performed by the author demonstrates that nowadays there is no methodological and informational basis for adequate representation of the innovative development parameters for their subsequent use in the system of securing the state’s economic safety. The author has revealed the innovative development indices that enable to perform a comparative analysis of the economic safety of various states in terms of the threats caused by an inefficient innovative development management. Based on the results of the performed efficiency appraisals of the innovative development measures in Russia and in the Ukraine, the author comes to conclusion that the level of the economic safety aspects of these states on which their innovative development influences is quite low.
