Abstract:
Nanotechnology currently has significant potential to improve advanced technologies crucial to developing the digital economy. Achieving technological leadership in the development and implementation of nanotechnology is often considered imperative for international economic competitiveness on a global scale. However, despite its importance, research into the development and implementation of nanotechnology requires significant financial resources and infrastructure. The purpose of this article is to analyze developments and the current state of nanotechnology research. The research objectives are to identify areas of scientific research in nanotechnology development and implementation and to study the dynamics of nanotechnology development and use over time and across industries. The study determined trends in the global and Russian nanotechnology markets and the importance of nanotechnology's interaction with other high-tech industries, such as information and communication technology, medicine, and energy. These findings reflect modern trends in scientific research. Due to the slow pace of nanotechnology development and application compared to the global scale, the article emphasizes the importance of state support measures.
