Analysis of non-monetary inflation factors in the medical services market of the Lipetsk region

Abstract:
In order to ensure price stability, the Bank of Russia purposefully influences monetary factors of inflation, while at the same time one-off supply factors independent of the Bank of Russia's policy - non-monetary factors of inflation - have a significant impact on the deviation of inflation from the target. These factors are also the focus of the Bank of Russia's research, which applies an integrated approach to coordinate actions with government authorities and other actors to overcome their negative impact. The market of medical services is of great social importance, while the prices of medical services serve as an indicator of the availability of medical care for the population. In the article, the author examines approaches to determining one-off factors of inflation on the supply side. The author has studied the market of medical services in Russia and the Lipetsk region and its characteristics, as well as analyzed the dynamics of prices for medical services in the Lipetsk region. The study revealed a significant influence of one-off supply factors on the dynamics of prices for medical services in the region, which differs from the national one. According to the results of the study, measures to eliminate the identified factors in the market of medical services of the region were proposed.
