The impact of innovative regional development on trade openness in the territory

Abstract:
Nowadays, there are certain gaps in the assessment and analysis of the relationship between the parameters of regional innovative development and trade openness. It should also be noted that over the past few years, the structure of export and import operations has changed significantly due to both economic and political factors.
The article considers the dynamics of indicators that characterize the processes of innovative development of the regions of the Central Federal District, as well as the degree of trade openness for the period 2000-2021. It has been revealed that at the national level, an upward trend continues, accompanied by changes in the structure of partner countries. In order to identify individual characteristics at the regional level, their relationship with indicators of trade openness was analyzed. It was proved that there is a connection between certain parameters of innovative development and trade openness, which has been confirmed by the construction of regression equations. It has been revealed that in ten regions there is a relationship between these spheres. It is concluded that there is feedback on individual parameters, such as the number of personnel engaged in R&D. The continuation of this study is seen in the study of the peculiarities of the development of individual territories from the point of view of identification and detailed description of regional characteristics.
This research can be used in the future by researchers and representatives of public and municipal authorities for planning and analysis of social and demographic regional and national processes.
