    Abstract:
The book discusses the problems and methods of assessing the energy efficiency of the economy of the Russian Arctic regions of Russia. The interrelation of energy and economic indicators in the economy of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation is investigated. The problems of energy saving and energy efficiency of territories on the basis of a decentralized model of energy supply are analyzed. As part of the study of the structure of the economy, the influence of structural shifts on the change in the electric capacity of the economy of the Arctic regions of Russia was highlighted. It was shown that the external conditions and the economic policy of the state determined the direction of changes in electrical capacity and electricity consumption. The issues of using renewable energy sources are considered. The conducted study of the possibilities of using renewable energy sources showed that the high performance in increasing the volume of generated energy from renewable energy sources, while reducing their cost, was the result of attracting significant investments. The book is intended for students, postgraduates, university teachers, researchers, employees of state and municipal bodies and anyone interested in energy and economics, the development of renewable energy sources.
