Abstract:
The interconnection of society, business and the state gives rise to various forms of links and relationships. The corporate social responsibility (CSR) is one of them. In respect of academic research, the corporate social responsibility is a vast, multifaceted and fruitful area of the scientific method application. The chemical industry is a large export-oriented and quite innovative sector of the Russian economy. At the same time, the chemical industry is not one and only driving force of the economy, but it also has a strong direct impact on the social and ecological environment.
The paper discloses the theory and methodology of corporate social responsibility, considers specific methods of management, assessment and analysis of corporate social responsibility. In addition, the following methodological aspects of non-financial reporting are summarized. The monograph presents a detailed analysis of the chemical industry in Russia, both at the industry and regional level. The factors of economic growth and labour productivity, and features of the development of the largest enterprises of the chemical industry of Russia are considered. The monograph also presents an analysis of corporate social responsibility practices in Russia at the enterprise level and international experience of large social projects implementation.
First of all the results of this study will be of interest to practitioners in corporate social responsibility and sustainable development, as well as to researchers exploring these issues.
