Abstract:
Subject and theme. The article presents an overview of the international organizations practices on improving labour productivity. Purpose of research is to show the current situation with the development of strategic directions by public authorities and the implementation of the planned criteria for productivity growth in the Russian Federation. Methodology. The analysis of cause-and-effect relationships of factors of labour productivity growth has established that the implemented state programs will not provide the set goals without a radical change in the directions of state policy. Results. The author jump into conclusion about the necessity of changes in public policies to improve productivity with investment in innovation, to stabilize the economic situation through the use of various methods to improve the performance level corresponding to the technological cycle of the enterprise. Application. It is proposed to apply uniformity in the definition of "productivity" when calculating indicators. It is also recommended to compare its growth rate with the growth rate of wages in the development of government programs. The development of a network of specialized or industry performance centers, rating agencies specializing in labour productivity improvement is urgent.
