Abstract:
Modern researchers consider labour migration as a significant source of solving accumulated demographic problems and an important source of attraction the qualified personnel in popular professions and specialties. Changes made to the regulatory framework recently facilitate access to the labour market for migrant workers, so it became necessary to consider the problems of matching the attracted labor force to the needs of the economy.
The article attempts to analyze main regulatory documents in the sphere of attracting skilled migrants. The authors try to assess the extent of involvement and professional-qualification structure of foreign labour migrants in the Russian economy and to analyse the different points of view of practitioners and scientists on the studied problem. The authors justify their own vision of the problem of integration of skilled labour migrants in the Russian labour market in accordance with the real needs of the economy.
