Abstract:
One of the problems of the organic food market until recently was the lack of legislative norms of production. Without them, it was difficult to talk about the real market, because quite often the production positioned as "bioproducts" had not been the one indeed. In an effort to earn more, some manufacturers set prices for organic products 1.5-2 times more expensive than for conventional products and deceived the consumer, discrediting the products and bona fide eco-management.
In early August 2019, President Vladimir Putin signed a Decree on the adoption of the law "On organic products", which have come into force on January 1, 2020. The author of the article emphasizes that the problem of national food security today not only does not lose its relevance, but becomes even more topical, especially in the light of the policy of ensuring sustainable demographic development of the Russian population.
