Abstract:
The case study demonstrates the difference in substantial reasons that drive European women in the childcare leave period and their Russian counterparts in depressed regions of Russian Federation to start a business and become entrepreneurs. Furthermore, the study distinguishes factors influencing development of mompreneurship in Russian depressed areas. However, the data from this study revealed certain latent entrepreneurial potential that can be developed and may play a positive role to improve well-being level of that depressed areas and all society.
