Structural shifts in employment of the population of Russia in 1975-1985: the regional aspect

Abstract:
In the article on the basis of the analysis of balances of labor resources for 1975-1985 structural shifts in employment of the population on branches of material production and the non-productive sphere in the Soviet period of development of Russia are defined. The regions were grouped according to the share of employment in industry and agriculture, the relationship between employment in education and health with demographic indicators (the share of children aged 0-15 years, people over the working age, the demographic burden per 1,000 people of working age) was revealed. It is concluded that it is necessary to make greater use of the balance of labor resources for the analysis and development of recommendations to improve its application in modern conditions of socio-economic development of Russia.
