Abstract:
Purpose: based on the analysis of literary sources, as well as international experience of venture financing and the fuel and energy complex, explore the features of investing in alternative energy. Subject of this article: Venture financing and fuel and energy complex: research features of investment in alternative energy. Materials and methods: the methodological basis of this article is the literature on the development of venture capital and fuel and energy complex, as well as open analytical materials on the study of the features of investing in alternative energy. The study applied methods such as analysis and synthesis, systematization and comparison. Results: all investments ultimately directly or indirectly fall on the shoulders of energy consumers, but the center of energy demand shifts to developing countries, and their own investment opportunities (and opportunities to attract investments) are still quite modest. Conclusions: at the same time, behind the rhetoric about the need to modernize the world energy system is the issue of distribution of costs, in particular - distribution between countries. One of the most striking manifestations of this problem is so far unsuccessful attempts to conclude a global climate agreement. Application: the findings and research results can be used in the further development of research on the characteristics of investing in alternative energy.
