Abstract:
Purpose: based on current research, examine the modern aspects of the influence of corporate social responsibility on business development in a social market economy. Materials and methods: this article is methodologically based on a study of theoretical and practical sources on the stated subject of the article. The author reviewed the background and progression of the concept of «social responsibility of business», and also showed the relationship between the presence of social responsibility in the activities of business structures and their sustainable development. In addition, the author made a forecast assumption that in the medium term, the concept of corporate social responsibility will be expanded and supplemented. In particular, the author believes that the business of the future is not only a socially responsible and environmentally safe activity, it is also an energy efficient activity of business structures. Therefore, we should expect a deepening of the concept of «social responsibility of business» not only in order to preserve the sustainable development of business structures, but also in order to preserve modern human civilization. Results: this article defines the role and importance of corporate social responsibility, and also substantiates that the social responsibility of a business is the integration of social and environmental tasks solved by business structures when interacting with stakeholders. Conclusions: in the medium term, as the global evolutionary problems accumulate, the requirements for the social responsibility of businesses will constantly increase. Entrepreneurial structures and stakeholders have a mutual, but not identical in strength influence on each other.
