Abstract:
During the period of the spread of crisis phenomena in the Russian economy, the existence and development of small and medium-sized businesses, which carries out significant social and economic functions, is of particular importance. In the article the system of support of small and medium business (SME) in the Republic of Tatarstan is considered. The subprogram «Development of small and medium-sized business in the Republic of Tatarstan» for two periods was analyzed: the past period of 2014 - 2016 and the planned 2018-2020. The analysis was carried out in terms of planned and achieved results according to the official statistics of the Republic of Tatarstan for 2017. The main characteristics of SMEs in the Republic of Tatarstan from 2013 to 2017 are presented. The main bodies supporting SMEs in the Republic of Tatarstan have been identified. The reasons for the reduction of the number of individual entrepreneurs in the Republic of Tatarstan are described.
