Abstract:
We suggest a theory of housing systems. We study the hypothesis that the housing is a system consisting of subsystems of house management, housing construction and home economics. Quantitative analysis shows the possibility of the existence of three basic housing systems. The article introduces economic criterion distinguishing systems by optimality. The theory satisfactorily describes the main phenomena in the housing space. We’ve identify the housing issue and we’ve found its solution, which is the integrated housing system. The new housing system alters the formation of housing policy, allows optimizing the production of mass housing, solves the basic problems of settlement infrastructure, and reduces the severity of the systemic crisis.
