Abstract:
The article studies the financial-technology innovations and reveals the need for implementation of the technologies of such kind in various spheres of economic relations. We consider the application of the distributed database Blockchain as a basis for the development of financial technologies. To fulfill this task we define the main concepts of the blockchain mechanism, we examine its structure and the main advantages, such as anonymity of transactions, security and accessibility. We analyze the opinions of business community representatives, public authorities and scientists on application on practice this technology in the Russian Federation. At the same time, we take into account that changes in business processes based on the implementation of new technologies lead to the need for revision of the interests and functions of various user groups. In general, in the article we systemize the main advantages and disadvantages of the use of blockchain technology, and draw conclusions about the potential and effectiveness of this technology in the Russian Federation. We also pay a special attention to the study of crypto-currencies, which are based on the studied mechanism.
