Abstract:
The article examines the state support policy for the agricultural sector by the example of meat industry during the period 1991–2016. We analyzed the indexes, characterizing domestic support to producers of beef, pork and poultry meat in Russia and in export countries. We show that at different stages of industry’s development the state support included a variety of measures and approaches. That played a positive role for development of the industry, achievement of food self-sufficiency level in poultry and pork output, which provided access of domestic products to world agricultural markets.
