    Abstract:
    A monograph presented by the group of authors is dedicated to the problem of schoolchildren’s ethical education. The work reveals the importance of choice-demanding situations calling for in the process of actualization of schoolchildren’s moral actions, presents the peculiarities of pedagogical planning of these situations, analyzes the pedagogical means for motivating schoolchildren’s moral actions, their complex. The moral action phenomenon has also been analyzed as a structural component of moral activities and behavior, the authors have analyzed the typology of moral actions. Besides, the authors have paid attention to pedagogical conditions of actualization of schoolchildren’s moral actions in the situations that require a choice-making, and also to the analysis of forms and ways of the actualization process. The work dwells on the following issues in-detail: structural components of the situation of choice a pupil has to make (pupils’ ideas of morality and moral compass; moral drives of behavior; mode of action; conditions in which the action is performed; appraisal of the action and self-esteem); types of the situations of choice (verbal, vital, collisional, alternative, conflictual, reproductive, search-related, problematic, simple, complex, analytical, diagnostic, evaluative, constructive, prognostic, moral choice situation), motives behind a certain moral action (socially important, indifferent, egoistic; wide social, collectivist, activity-related and rewarding), typology of moral actions (integral harmonious type; affective; rational; conformist; communicative), pedagogical means for motivating pupils’ moral behavior (activities (the main ones being game and learning); actions (including moral actions of the educator, pedagogue); pedagogical appraisal of the actions; self-consciousness; pupil’s emotions and his personal experience; pupil’s knowledge; the situation calling for choosing an action; the change of the situation meaning for the purpose of translating the known motives into the actually existing ones; pupil’s self-esteem; teacher’s instructions (direct and indirect), common forms of actualization of moral actions (spiritual and practical actualization of moral actions), conditions for actualization of pupils’ moral actions in the educational process (humanization of the relationships of the subjects of the educational process, educator’s professional attitude towards the pupils, communication in the form of a dialogue, positive emotional atmosphere of life and activities of the children’s group in which a pupil finds himself / herself).
