Abstract:
This article examines the theoretical and conceptual foundations of the knowledge economy and analyzes its current state. The paper discusses the current period of transition, characterized by the emergence of new technologies based on knowledge and explores the contradictions that arise at the stage of formation of a new type of economic system. The article can be useful for economists and other professionals interested in the intellectualization of the economy, trends in social progress and global competition. The paper used the term of symmetric transformation of the knowledge economy for the first time.
