Peculiarities of managing distributed IT teams amid digital transformation

Abstract:
The importance of managing distributed IT teams amid digital transformation has increased significantly in recent years, as many organizations are forced to move to a remote workforce that has become an integral part of the modern business environment. Virtual teams, which are a collection of specialists working remotely and interacting through digital tools, face unique challenges, including the need to ensure effective team communication, create a cohesive team, and manage productivity. However, despite the growing interest in this topic, the issues of developing integrated management methods for distributed IT teams that increase their efficiency and flexibility remain relevant.
The article examines the characteristics of managing distributed IT teams amid the transformation of the work environment. The author defines remote work as a form of organizing activities outside the traditional office. The author analyzes the nature of distributed teams and identifies key factors of their effectiveness, including the development of communication, the formation of a team culture, and the use of flexible development methodologies. The influence of these factors on the success of project implementation in distributed teams is considered. The results of the study can serve as a basis for developing practical recommendations for managing distributed IT teams, and can be useful to both practical managers and theorists involved in researching remote employment in the digital economy.
