Abstract:
In the context of rapid innovative development, globalization and negative macroeconomic trends arising against the background of an aggravation of the geopolitical situation, Russian regions are forced to find new approaches to ensure their sustainable socio-economic growth. The article is devoted to the study of the specifics of Russia's spatial development in the context of modern challenges and threats. The relevance of this study is due to the need to develop effective tools for planning and management of regional development, contributing to the solution of the problems of regional differentiation, creation of favorable living conditions for the population and effective use of territorial resources. The authors present a new approach to the analysis and evaluation of spatial development vectors, based on the integrated use of modern tools of spatial development research and planning. The article will be useful to specialists in economic geography, economics, regional development management, as well as to all those interested in the problems of spatial development and planning of the regional economy.
