Abstract:
The agricultural sector is a resource-intensive industry. Therefore, in a modern economy with a traditional linear production model, if the resources used are not reused and the volume of primary resources consumed increases every year, there is a potential danger of natural, environmental, social, economic and other problems that endanger the existence of mankind. The article discusses issues related to the concept of circular economy, where the most urgent is the creation of sustainable development models, the introduction of which will break the link between economic growth, increased resource consumption and, as a result, increased environmental pollution. The results of the study are necessary for representatives of public and municipal authorities to properly navigate the current situation and develop appropriate economic policies aimed at improving the efficiency of the agricultural sector of the economy without compromising the opportunities of future generations, scientists and practitioners involved in the circular economy development.
