Abstract:
The relevance of the article is due to the fact that currently Western countries are applying unprecedented sanctions, trying to maintain their global dominance, limiting the economic and technological potential of other countries (not only Russia but also, for example, China). In this regard, increased attention is paid to the study of changes in the vectors of international scientific and technical cooperation. In conditions of increasing unpredictability and uncertainty of global political and economic processes, the tasks of development, adjustment and implementation of long-term scientific and technical policy of the country and its regions are urgent. The article provides a brief overview of the main changes in international scientific and technological cooperation in 2022-2024. The purpose of the study was to confirm the hypothesis of a change in the vector of international scientific and technical cooperation of the Russian Federation with friendly countries. As a result of the study, it was concluded that it is necessary to take into account the potential of partner states (both in the form of bilateral relations and within the framework of the EAEU, CIS, BRICS, and SCO) when developing a strategy for the long-term scientific and technological development of the country, as well as the need to expand the areas of cooperation, including through scientific research in the humanities and social sciences.
The study was carried out in order to fulfill the state assignment of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation for the Institute of Economics of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences for 2024.
