Abstract:
The article examines the issue of building a culture of trust, primarily the trust of the country’s population in public authorities.
The key terms related to the concept of “public trust in public authority” are highlighted. The category of trust is analyzed in the context of its refraction in the economic and political spheres, as well as in the context of political, economic and social capital.
The authors of the article outline the basics of trust-building mechanisms in the context of legitimization of rationing transactions in various societies: monarchical, socialist, and capitalist. Moreover, it is suggested that the mechanism of trust in a given society should be considered in terms of three factors: primary (dominant), supplementary (regulatory behavior), and auxiliary (moral norms). The article is addressed to specialists in economics, political economy, as well as to anyone interested in the problems of trust in different types of economic systems.
