Commercialization of university intellectual capital: domestic and foreign experience

Abstract:
The purpose of this article is to study the domestic and foreign experience of commercialization of the university's intellectual capital. The subject of the research is the technologies of commercialization of the intellectual capital of the university. The methodology of this study includes methods of analysis and synthesis, comparison, classification and generalization; the obtained results are presented in accordance with scientific and methodological requirements. Results obtained are as follows. According to the results of scientific research, it was established that the basis for the formation of the intellectual capital of the university is individual and collegial scientific, theoretical and methodological research, the acquisition of software and NMA for conducting scientific research and the acquisition of infrastructure support for conducting research. A negative feature is the fact that the intellectual capital of Russian universities is actively emigrating in search of commercialization from the regions to the metropolises of Russia - Moscow and St. Petersburg, as well as its active export to the EU countries (Germany, France) and the USA, much less - the countries of Southeast Asia (China, Japan). The main tools for commercializing the university's intellectual capital are as follows: the creation of small innovative enterprises on the basis of universities; sale or leasing of intellectual property licenses; participation of universities in venture capital funds and (or) technology parks (technopolis); inclusion of universities in innovative programs for the development of government programs and state high-tech corporations. Application. The obtained results can be used for further research in the field of commercial use of intellectual capital of universities of the Russian Federation.
