Abstract:
The article is devoted to the influence of scientific and technological progress on the development of the economy, having a qualitative and quantitative particular bearing on its macroeconomic indicators. The purpose of the study lies in the real possibilities of ensuring macroeconomic growth with the development of scientific and technological progress. To achieve the goal, the following tasks were solved. They are as follows. The theoretical foundations of the influence of scientific and technological progress on economic growth were determined. The dynamics of attracted investments in high-tech industries as a resource of macroeconomic growth are analyzed in dynamics. On the basis of an interdisciplinary integrated approach, a synergistic effect and economic growth were achieved. It is determined that scientific and technological progress has an impact on economic growth, the optimal rate of which can be achieved by attracting investment in high-tech sectors of the economy, by applying an interdisciplinary approach to research and the transition to a knowledge economy (digital economy), by fundamental scientific research and the growth of the share of innovative technologies in the structure of production. A 3-D model of the influence of scientific and technological progress on the size of gross domestic product (GDP) in the process of cyclical economic development has been developed, in accordance with which, in order to ensure economic growth, it is necessary to develop scientific activity and attract investments in high-tech sectors of the economy. The results of this study are based on strategies to ensure accelerated rates of economic growth. The results are of practical importance and can be useful in developing programs aimed at ensuring economic development, improving the living standards of the population and its transition to an innovative type of economy.
