Abstract:
The article deals with the methodological aspects of the international rankings and indices characterizing the potential of the country for the transition to the model of the knowledge economy. These indices include the global ranking of human capital development, the human development index (HDI), the index of development of information and communication technologies (ICT). Attention is paid to the method of compiling the index of knowledge economy. Moreover, the method of compilation of the indices and rankings in order to distinguish the countries that benefits from the knowledge economy is discussed. Such indices include: ranking of innovation-driven economies, the global innovation index, Top-100 companies - global innovators.
