Abstract:
Purpose: the carried out analysis of scientific works on the issues allows us to state that at present professional development of personnel is one of the main factors for increasing the efficiency of activities and competitiveness of organizations. The purpose of the work is to consider the professional development of personnel in the context of increasing the efficiency of activities and competitiveness of organizations. Materials and methods: in the article, in the methodological aspect, modern theories of market economy, development and regulation were used; methods of structural and functional analysis and systems approach, groupings, graphical and tabular methods, a system of economic laws and scientific assumptions. Results: the article analyzes the issues related to the improvement of the professional potential of employees as a factor in increasing the efficiency of work and the intellectual component of the organization. The main directions of increasing the professional potential of the enterprise are singled out, including the stimulation of personnel for the development of innovations, the formation of a system of continuous vocational education, the creation of conditions for career growth and intellectual development, and the expansion of the professional horizon of workers. Conclusions: it was revealed that the knowledge and skills received by the employees during the training should be considered as the basis of intellectual capital, which is the determining factor for creating innovations. Competitive potential of the enterprise is justified as a combination of key factors of success of market and resource origin realized by it (key competencies).
