Abstract:
This article offers criteria for determining whether the Agile approach can be used to manage the particular project. The possibility of using the popular toolkit outside the IT-sphere that generated it is considered. The main features of the "flexible" project management are shown and the development of the project methodology is demonstrated, where the traditional approach and the "flexible" toolkit coexist at the moment. Identified and justified the characteristics of projects to which the Agile approach can be successfully applied. Based on a study of the specifics of IT projects, as well as studying the development of the methodology of project management, the author suggests the approach that allows the project to be classified as a traditional or flexible method of project management. The obtained model allows to correlate any project with the presented characteristics and understand how appropriate the application of the Agile-approach, regardless of the scope of the project.
