Abstract:
Despite the fact that the issue of renewing fixed capital receives considerable attention in research and scientific publications, nevertheless, many of its aspects still receive insufficient attention. First of all, this involves the issues that should be permanently solved in the process of the ongoing changes in productive forces of society and, accordingly, in economic relations. And secondly, along with the increased openness of Russian economy combined with the impact of modern integration, globalization processes and trends on it that are accompanied by increased competition, Russia must timely and adequately respond to the challenges posed by these processes, protect its national interests and ensure a high level of economic security. Meeting these challenges results from the creation of a new competitive economy based on a modern innovative technological structure, which in turn calls for a substantial reform of the process of renewal of fixed capital. This issue mentioned above and the issues of the development of new conceptual approaches, implementation of necessary practical measures for enhancing investment processes, creation of a favorable economic environment, building adequate organizational and economic relations and institutional mechanism ensuring the revival of innovation and investment activities, are the subject of the collective research in the monograph.
The monograph is designed for a wide range of workers of research organizations, manufacturing enterprises, higher schools, municipal and state government bodies; it also may be useful to students of economic universities and faculties and everyone interested in these issues.
