Abstract:
The article analyzes current practices of transition to decentralized electricity market. The UK electricity market in England and Wales, as well as the market of California State are the main subject of the study. Along with deregulatory aspects, in the study we take into account the associated risks; we also conduct a detailed analysis of theoretical basis for the functioning of electricity markets with different managerial structures under the conditions of imperfect competition.
