Abstract:
The article describes the impact of migration and demographic processes on the labor market of the Republic of Karelia. We analyze the formation of structural asymmetry in the field of employment. The purpose of the study is to analyze the changes in the labor market in the Republic of Karelia and to assess the impact of the demographic crisis and migration on these processes. As a result, we found the tendency of growth of the proportion of pensioners in labor force structure of the region. We revealed the connection between this tendency and migration and demographic crisis. We revealed the growth of the share of pensioners in the labor market. We analyze the problem of gender inequality in the labor market. We made a conclusion about inefficient use of women's labor potential because of gender segregation and gender discrimination.

  • • Население старше трудоспособного возраста, продолжая трудовую деятельность, выполняет компенсаторную функцию нехватки молодежи на рынке труда региона.
  • • Гендерная асимметрия на рынке труда формируется под влиянием совокупности исторически сложившихся неформальных правил в обществе, а также физиологических и психологических гендерных особенностей.
  • • Гендерная асимметрия на рынке труда может являться препятствием для реализации человеческого капитала отдельных индивидов и групп населения.
