Abstract:
The article analyses peculiarities of formation and management of public-private partnerships (PPP) in India, which allowed this country to turn PPP into an effective infrastructure development tool and to become one of the leaders of the developing world according to the level of its development. We examine such important elements of the management system as the doctrinal formulation of policy, the institutional basis of PPP, the creation of special management bodies of different types, the formation of PPP at the regional level. We mark that the public assistance system for partnership development is very significant for successful functioning of PPPs. In this regard we consider the key directions and tools for such assistance.
On the basis of the analysis of the Indian experience in formation and management of the public-private partnership sphere we make recommendations on the ways to improve the efficiency of public management of PPP in Russia.
