Methodological foundations for modeling spatial distribution and demographic dynamics as a representation of the spatial resource approach

Abstract:
One of the key aspects of regional development planning is the creation of effective tools for analyzing and forecasting spatial dynamics of population.
At the same time, when forming models of demographic dynamics, the need to take into account the interaction between the spatial distribution of the population and the availability of resources becomes particularly relevant. The authors of the article analyzed the existing theoretical approaches to modeling spatial distribution and demographic dynamics and proposed four key criteria for differentiating territories, namely: resource potential, demographic potential, commercial resource potential, and infrastructure potential.
The study systematizes models describing potential trajectories of economic system development at the regional level, which makes the article interesting for researchers in the field of demography, economic geography, and territorial planning.
The article was prepared based on the results of research carried out at the expense of budgetary funds according to the state assignment of the Financial University, 2024
