Abstract:
The article covers the issues and innovative solutions in the field of oil tank cleaning from sediment. A variety of techniques are currently under consideration, including manual, mechanical, and chemical-mechanical approaches. The efficacy, safety profile for personnel, and environmental impact of each technique are evaluated.
The article presents an overview of both traditional techniques and modern technologies, including the use of carbon dioxide and cryogenic blasting, as well as robotic cleaning systems.
Particular emphasis is placed on the safeguarding of the natural environment and the minimisation of the impact of human intervention in the cleaning process.
