Abstract:
The article describes the securitization of leasing assets as an important financial instrument for the development of the Russian economy. The article discusses the history of the development of the securitization market in Russia, its impact on increasing the liquidity of the leasing market, and the opportunities for leasing companies to effectively manage their balance sheet obligations. Special attention is paid to the study of the securitization mechanism in the US and European markets.
The dynamics of asset securitization transactions over the past 10 years is analyzed. The authors draw attention to the successful experience of the Russian Federation in the implementation of lease asset securitization transactions. Several theses are formulated to explain why the mechanism considered has not spread in Russia.
Nevertheless, the authors express confidence in the prospects for the development of securitization of leasing assets, provided that the transparency and standardization of operations are increased, specialized legislation is developed, investment activity is stimulated and the securities market grows.
